About Aya B.
I am a student at New York University’s College of Arts and Science (CAS), on the pre-med track. I’m also a member of both the Presidential Honors Scholars Program and the Martin Luther King Jr. Scholars Program.I was invited to join the Presidential Honors Scholars Program as a first-year student based on my academic performance, leadership potential, and ranking in the top 10% of the incoming class. I was named an MLK Scholar due to my commitment to social justice, community leadership, and service; values that continue to shape both my academic and personal journey.My passion for medicine began in high school, when I was accepted into the certified health and medicine program. Since then, my academic journey and exposure to research have only deepened my curiosity and drive. I am now preparing to attend medical school, with the goal of becoming a physician and contributing meaningfully to both patient care and health equity.
