ABOUT AXEL QUACK
Axel is a Regional Vice President in Salesforce\'s innovation division, called Ignite. For Financial- & Public Services, he leads a unique distributed team covering collectively Europe, Middle East, and Africa. He built accelerators and innovation departments focused on new products and their business models, e.g. from within for the largest global insurance company and second-largest investment company, FinTechs, and successfully for his own startup ventures. He leads business innovation programs with the goal of establishing a human-centered, interdisciplinary process that creates desirable and sustainable changes in behavior and form - of individuals, systems, and organizations - often for socially progressive outcomes. In his experience, design is about applying contextual skills in non-traditional domains that then produce non-traditional, creatively designed outcomes; i.e, new roles, new organizations, new systems, and disruptive business models can emerge. A true \"hybrid,\" he holds degrees in engineering, a Master of Fine Arts, and an Executive MBA from China, Japan, and the US. He has been a lecturer at programs such as Google\'s Digital Academy and is currently on the advisory board of the Pi School for Artificial Intelligence in Rome and part of Singularity University in Silicon Valley.
