ABOUT STEPH GOOCH
I am Sr. Solution Architect Advocate in the AWS Customer Accelerations Seam. We serve as subject matter experts guiding customers through ways to optimize their current and future AWS spend. Our team specializes in understanding the unique complexities of large customers and dive deep into their cost and usage data to recommend and educate customers on long term cost management and optimization strategies.Finding ways to share FinOps best practices with customers is a passion of mine so I started The Keys to AWS Optimization Twitch show to shares stories and solutions with all customers. This is on AWS Twitch on or Youtube I worked as a DevOps engineer and head of FinOps at KPMG UK in the CloudOps team. Focusing mainly on Financial Operations (FinOps) to drive a cost optimised cloud setup. As part of my Mathematics Degree at Surrey University I undertook an industrial placement at Brovanture where I have qualified as an Oracle Hyperion Essbase Consultant, specialising in Budget Planning and Cloud Services. Following this I completed a MSc in Information Systems and Technology achieving a Distinction.
