Responsible for leading part of the SRE team within Versapay, with all the same responsibilities as I held as a Senior SRE within the same team. My focus has shifted primarily towards project management and workflow, ensuring that SRE\'s interactions with other teams are efficient and deliver value. I also play an incredibly active part in Versapay\'s Production Incident Management. I was the co-recipient of 2023\'s \"Most Recognized VEEP\" award, given for receiving the most positive recognition through our company internal kudos tracker. Key Deliverables:* Deep dove into a problem around storage and log aggregation and made changes resulting in over $200K/yr in savings* Deep dove into database utilization and cost, made changes resulting in over $250K/yr in savings* Established our inbound token migration process and built automation/guardrails around it* Streamlined change approval and work assignment to optimize SRE time spent working on projects vs chasing requestors for requirementsResponsibilities:In addition to those I held as Senior SRE, I also:* Project manage work for the team at large* Guide other stakeholder teams and set expectations around SRE involvement* Act as one (of two) Incident Managers on call for our operations* Advocate strongly and vocally for the value of SRE and Operational Excellence to a predominantly-Product engineering-driven culture* GSD
