About Andrew Wong
Hi, I\'m Andrew - I\'m an inquisitive researcher that wants to uncover the grand scheme of not only the world but the people in it. As an ex-Amazonian, I gained experience in many agile operations within User Experience from business strategy, project conception, and initiation to implementation of user insights. While at Amazon, I worked as a UX researcher who needed to think inquisitively constantly and own projects to make sure the product flows in a business-scaled manner. I mainly lead two projects that focused on training and coaching associate performance and improving the UX maturity of the product. In those roles, I conducted concept tests illuminating pain points during product development within coaching softwares. I have also gained experience with usability testing and Jobs-to-be-Done frameworks to produce impactful user insights for training softwares. In my past experiences, I have used my background in psychology to understand the intentions and motivations of people. Having this knowledge, I supported clients within the public health and psychiatry industry. I have also worked in research laboratories that deepened my understanding of emotions and qualitative research data while working as a research assistant. Working in this field, I have gained copious amounts of knowledge in the academic field that I appreciate as I work in a human-centered approach lifestyle. Drawing back to the present, I enjoy engaging in both the technicality and inquisitiveness of human psychology. Due to this, my desire to help people curiously developed into a passion for UX research as it combines both those two values. Now, I\'m currently a UX Researcher trying to combine my interest in games and psychology to motivate changes for an accessible and user-oriented world.Portfolio:
