About Aster Wardhani
I am a Principal Scientist at Bruker Spatial Biology, a leading provider of life science tools for translational research and molecular diagnostics. With a PhD in Image Processing and over 7 years of experience in this role, I am passionate about developing innovative image processing solutions for the GeoMx and CosMx platforms, which enable high-throughput spatial analysis of biological samples.As the principal developer for the image processing components of the GeoMx platform, I have designed and implemented stitching algorithms and automatic tissue region segmentation, as well as cell segmentation and image correction modules for the CosMx platform. I have extensive knowledge and proficiency in programming languages and frameworks, such as C++, C#, Qt.NET, ITK, Magick++, qwt, OpenCV, EmguCV, OpenGL, and PyTorch. I enjoy collaborating with cross-functional teams and contributing to the advancement of science and technology.In the CosMx platform I am the principal developer for the design, implementation and deployment of the ML based cell segmentation algorithms, pre- and post processing, enabling the detection of single cells and intra-cellular structures in tissue slides.
