As a passionate community builder, entrepreneur, and relationship-driven professional, I am dedicated to empowering newcomers and fostering economic development. With a background in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, Irvine, and an MBA in Community Economic Development from Cape Breton University, I bring a unique blend of technical expertise, business acumen, and a deep commitment to social impact.Since moving to Cape Breton three years ago, I have made it my mission to create opportunities for newcomers to connect, integrate, and thrive. I have hosted over 40 events, helping more than individuals build meaningful relationships, access career opportunities, and engage in cultural and entrepreneurial experiences. My events are designed not just for networking, but for learning, ensuring that each participant walks away with valuable insights and connections that accelerate their professional and personal growth.Beyond event organizing, my career has been centered around customer relationship management, sales, and marketing. I understand the importance of building trust, nurturing relationships, and delivering value-driven solutions. Whether it\'s fostering community engagement or driving business success, I leverage my skills in communication, strategic planning, and relationship-building to create impactful experiences for individuals and organizations alike. Over the past three years, I have also collaborated with multiple sponsors, helping to secure funding and support for hosting impactful community events.Currently, I serve as a Membership and Events Coordinator at the Cape Breton Regional Chamber of Commerce, where I focus on creating engaging events and fostering strong relationships with members. Before joining this role, I worked in the Cape Breton Tourism Industry as a Technical Lead at the World Tourism Institute which gave me a great insight on the Tourism Industry of the Cape Breton Island.I am also a strong advocate for economic development and inclusion, believing that empowering newcomers strengthens both local economies and communities.
