Support kindergarten-aged children in a play-based learning environment following the Ontario Kindergarten Program and How Does Learning Happen? framework.• Collaborate with classroom educators to plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities that support learning in all areas – literacy, numeracy, science, arts, and social-emotional development.• Design and create props and themed materials to support dramatic play and enhance children\'s engagement in learning centers (e.g, science table, art area, construction zone).• Promote inclusive practices and foster positive relationships with children and families through daily communication and supportive interactions.• Lead small and large group activities including circle time, storytelling, songs, and outdoor play that encourage creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving.• Observe, document, and reflect on children’s learning and development to inform program planning and individual support.• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment in accordance with YMCA policies and Child Care and Early Years Act (CCEYA) regulations.• Encourage independence, self-regulation, and collaboration through respectful guidance and child-led exploration.
