About Avni Agarwal
In a complex sociopolitical context, research and evidence is essential to make sound decisions. Through my academic and work experience, I want to bring a more nuanced and interdisciplinary approach to policy making. While the MPP programme has enabled me to use social science in a more practical, implementable and policy-oriented manner, my undergraduate education has equipped me with theoretical knowledge. I often find myself amidst debates between the environment and development perspectives, and i’m seeking to engage with these conflicted perspectives through more cohesive discourse and methodology. I\'m deeply interested in environment and energy policy, urbanisation, migration, climate change, sustainable development and education.
