Working in an intellectually challenging environment, with distinctive people and mentors, who drive me to push my boundaries and create impact is what I’ve been doing at Citibank for the past 3 years. I’ve done this while servicing clients, working with a variety of teams, and working directly with senior leadership on a digital industry-first breakthrough initiative. Being a part of Capital Markets in securities services world, the Account Manager role gives me an opportunity to deep dive in to the Foreign Institutional Investor Business (includes FPIs, FDIs and FVCIs). Understanding and advising foreign clients (Global Custodians, Broker Dealers, Asset Managers, Hedge Funds, Private Equity Funds) on the regulatory aspects of investments in Indian market is a key aspect of this role. It also allows me to cover entire life cycle of equity, debt (G-Sec & Corporate Bonds) settlement cycles, corporate action events (both equity/ debt, voluntary/ involuntary), DRs and all other products pertaining to foreign investors in the current capital market regime in India. Client service is one part of my job; I also wear a coaching hat and help with onboarding and mentoring of new colleagues. My success mantra in professional and personal life lies in my core competency of problem solving and strong people skills.
