ABOUT AVINEET SINGH CHAWLA
Currently, I work as an Assistant Professor and Researcher at Jindal Global Law School. My area of interest is Construction Contracts and Commercial Arbitration. Alongside my academic role, I actively practice law, appearing before courts in Delhi and Chandigarh.I hold an LL.M. from Queen Mary University of London (2018–2019), where I specialized in International Dispute Resolution. My legal journey began as a Junior Counsel at the Punjab and Haryana High Court and District Courts Complex, Patiala, where I gained extensive experience in arbitration, CBI, criminal, and civil matters. Passion for ADRI am committed to advancing Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) in India. I believe ADR is the future, offering a sustainable way to reduce the burden on courts while fostering amicable dispute resolution—from family conflicts to investor-state disputes. As an active member of networks like YIAG, YSIAC, CIArb, and Young MCIA, I organize events, webinars, and discussions to promote ADR. Additionally, I share my thoughts and research through my blog: avineetsinghblog.wordpress.com. Advocate for Human Rights & Climate ActionBeyond the legal field, I am passionate about human rights and environmental advocacy. As a member of the Commonwealth Youth Human Rights and Democracy Network, I contributed to a roundtable conference on the Role of Youth in Climate Action, collaborating with global leaders, including Prince Harry. Gallivanter & Lifelong LearnerA traveler and curious mind at heart, I thrive on learning from diverse perspectives and engaging with people across disciplines. Let’s Connect!I’m always open to meaningful discussions, formal or informal. Most Importantly, I welcome opportunities for collaboration. Reach out if you’d like to discuss Arbitration, ADR, climate advocacy, or just share ideas!
