34 years of multi-dimensional presence in the port industry- container terminals, having leadership experience in wide-ranging areas of operations, project management, business analysis, engineering, procurement, contracts management, transformation lead and operational excellence.Associated with the best-in-class ports and terminals located at Nhava Sheva, Mumbai, India since its inception, JNPA (formerly JNPT) and APM Terminals Mumbai (A.P. Moller Maersk Gr Co.). Lateral thinking and effective people management helped attaining sustained improvement over the period in various areas of terminal management. The exposure developed core skills in people, customer centricity, cross functional global collaboration, stakeholder management, agility, work ethics and norms.Actively looking for challenging leadership role in port, shipping and logistics.PROFILE:A graduate engineer in Electronics, handled various positions of responsibility in Port and Terminal functions. Joined Port sector during inception of the Jawaharlal Nehru port trust (JNPT) in 1989-90, where the fundamentals of terminal operation & maintenance techniques were learnt in collaboration with the European container terminal (ECT). Supervised various functions of the green field project commissioning and worked on setting up terminal processes for running terminal operations.Working with APM Terminals Mumbai since 2007 in various leadership roles across functions like Operations, Contracts & Claims, Engineering, Projects, Transformation etc.I have been leading a major part of the terminal team and involved in negotiations with Labor unions to settle conflicts amicably. Have experience in Vendor management including selection, negotiation, finalizing agreements and performance monitoring. Also liaise with the labor unions of the contracted labors and managed conflicts for smooth running of operations.
