About Avinash Kumar
I am a thermal systems and R&D engineer with 9+ years of experience in electronic cooling, data-center thermal management, refrigeration and HVAC systems. My work focuses on developing low-GWP refrigerants and advanced cooling solutions, including direct-to-chip liquid cooling and two-phase immersion cooling using dielectric fluids.I have hands-on expertise in blending and evaluating new HFO and HFO-blend refrigerants, assessing performance, compatibility, safety, environmental impact and system optimization across HVAC-R and electronic cooling applications. I work closely with OEMs, design teams and end-customers to support HFO adoption, technical validation, field trials and commercialization, including payback, energy and CO₂-reduction analysis.My experience includes building test rigs, AHRI-based lab testing, thermodynamic modelling, techno-economic evaluation, and electronic cooling fluid testing (immersion & direct-to-chip). I have also contributed to patents and industry standards development (BIS MED-03 Committee) and received multiple innovation awards.Currently, I am also pursuing an Executive Diploma in AI/ML from Bangalore, integrating data analytics and machine-learning-based optimization into cooling system design and diagnostics.I am passionate about sustainable, high-performance cooling technologies that enable higher computing density, energy efficiency, and environmental responsibility in the data-center and HVAC-R industries.
