Reduces number of parameters in vision transformers significantly without sacrificing accuracy.Scattering VIsion Transformer (NeurIPS 2023) – a variant of SpectFormer with initial layers being dual-tree complex wavelet transforms. Achieves accuracy (84%) comparable to Google’s vision transformer (which needs 22 billion parameters to get 86% accuracy) with only 100 million parameters.SiMBA (ICASSP 2025) – hybrid transformer state-space model that achieves state-of-art SMAPE/MAE/MSE on seven open source data sets as well as cloud cost management data of Msft
