ABOUT AVI TILLU

I am an Executive Vice President at PIMCO, and a named PM on PIMCO’s flagship Macro Hedge Fund. I personally manage ~20% of the Fund’s AUM, with a focus on directional DM Rates and FX. At the firm-wide level, I am the investment strategy lead for UK rates, and a senior member of the core group that determines investment strategy for pan-European rates. I have been a member of the firm’s European, North American and EM Portfolio Committees. Outside of PIMCO, I am a member of the Bank of England’s Money Markets Committee, a senior level observational sub-committee.Prior to PIMCO, I was a Portfolio Manager at Citadel, and at Balyasny Asset Management, and an Interest Rates Products Trader at Goldman Sachs. I have also worked in Consulting, for the Boston Consulting Group.I hold a BA in Mathematics from Oxford University, where I achieved a First Class degree, and was placed amongst the top ten students in the year. I am also a CFA Charterholder.In my spare time, I am a keen amateur triathlete, and spent 5 years on the Board of Directors for Triathlon England, the National Governing Body for the sport.
