About Avi Giri

I am a systems-oriented product thinker with 3 years of experience as an Android applications developer at Oracle, and a growing passion for building high-impact, technology-driven products that create meaningful change in society and science. The \'why\' behind the \'wow\' of technology is what drives my curiosity most.With a B.Tech in Computer and Communication Engineering from Manipal Institute of Technology, I bring a strong technical foundation complemented by an equally strong interest in design thinking, storytelling, and structured product discovery. My experience ranges from working on enterprise-grade Android applications to collaborating in internal product hackathons, where I’ve contributed to ideation, prototyping, and feature execution, winning accolades in the process.Outside of engineering, I have led and won multiple awards in college dramatics, an experience that sharpened my communication, narrative design, and audience understanding; skills that I now channel into product thinking and user-centric design.I have recently expanded my horizons through the MPM 2.0 program by Rethink Systems, focusing on frameworks around product sense, system design, analytics, and GTM strategy. I am also working on developing more side projects and case studies to showcase my product thinking publicly.I’m actively exploring opportunities to transition into product management roles where I can apply my engineering background, systems thinking, and creativity to solve complex problems with clarity and impact.

   Part of the core team that took the LMS product from 0 to 1- Primary focus on feature prioritization, user journey mapping, and testing cycles aligned with cohort timelines- Driving GTM planning for upcoming cohorts including organic channel strategy, messaging, and conversion optimization- Working directly with the founder to translate community insights into product decisions-Leading and conducting weekend workshops covering practical tools most PM courses skip: building with LLMs, automations, rapid prototyping, and using AI for user research synthesis. Sessions designed to make participants build, not just learn based on gaps identified in current job market requirements-Organising and co-hosting community meetups in the NCR region- Mentored a cohort group through the program, guiding PRD development, prototype building, and providing weekly feedback on assignments- Helped mentees sharpen problem-solving frameworks and build portfolio-ready artifacts.
