I am an accomplished attorney with experience in construction law, civil litigation, contract law, and criminal law. I bring a strategic, results-driven approach to solving complex legal challenges. With extensive experience advising government agencies, managing high-stakes litigation, and shaping regulatory policies, I bring a vast amount of legal knowledge to whatever position I am in.I currently serve as Construction and Commercial Transactions Counsel for the Central Ohio Transit Authority (COTA), where I advise on all legal matters pertaining to construction and commercial transactions. This involves working closely with staff to analyze and recommend the optimal construction delivery procurement strategy. I develop, negotiate, and finalize a wide array of complex construction and commercial transaction agreements, ensuring COTA’s interests are protected. Furthermore, I provide expert counsel on pertinent federal, state, and local laws and regulations, proactively guide staff through contract modifications, and offer strategic advice on risk mitigation and liability concerns.As Legal Counsel for the Ohio Facilities Construction Commission, I provided legal guidance on multimillion-dollar public infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations while protecting state interests. I drafted and negotiated contracts, lead dispute resolution efforts, and collaborated with executive leadership to develop policies, administrative rules, and legislative proposals that enhanced operational efficiency. Additionally, I provided legal counsel on employment matters, working closely with HR to implement policies that aligned with state mandates.Previously, as an Assistant Attorney General I represented the Ohio Department of Transportation and managed eminent domain litigation, and led negotiations that balanced state infrastructure needs with community impact. My background also includes serving as an Assistant Prosecutor, where I handled juvenile criminal cases and child protective services matters, collaborating with law enforcement and social workers to drive fair and just outcomes.I earned my Juris Doctor from Capital University Law School and hold a Bachelor of Arts in History from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. I have been admitted to the Ohio Bar since 2019.
