ABOUT AVA VANDER LOUW
Passionate about U.S-China Strategic Competition, Foreign Policy, and Diplomacy, I am a graduate of Tufts University with a B.A. in International Relations and minors in Chinese Language and Culture and Economics. I am dedicated to understanding and guiding U.S. foreign policy towards China and the Indo-Pacific region, with a particular interest in economic and technological entanglement, critical minerals security, dual-use and emerging technologies, protecting U.S. research and development environments, intellectual property theft, and the People\'s Republic of China\'s foreign influence strategy. My interest in geopolitics and strategic competition was born through a multicultural childhood with stints in the U.S, China, Singapore, and Japan. I started studying Mandarin Chinese at 3 years old and attended Chinese immersion and bilingual schools. Because of frequent international relocations, I embrace cultural awareness, am skillfully adaptable, and have learned to connect and collaborate with people from different backgrounds. For me, global exchange has been a lived-out and lifelong passion.Through these various in-country experiences, I’ve developed a global perspective that I carry with me wherever I go. I enjoy working in a fast-paced environment with diverse teams and advocating for impactful solutions.I welcome any connections or insights on career development, international affairs, U.S-China relations, and much more!
