Dr. Ava is world renowned board-certified dermatologist who graduated Magna Cum Laude from Harvard University. In addition to serving as Assistant Clinical Professor of Dermatology at the UCLA-Geffen School of Medicine, Dr. Ava is also recognized as television\'s “Extreme Makeover” Dermatologist and is the resident dermatology expert on the Emmy Award winning daytime talk show, “The Doctors.\" Allure Magazine also selected Dr. Ava to be their \"Allure Insider\" Dermatology expert.As a key opinion leader in the field of dermatology and a published author, Dr. Shamban has lectured extensively both nationally and internationally on topics ranging from medical to cosmetic dermatology. She is a pioneer in developing the multimodal treatment approach to acne, acne scars, pigmentary problems and rosacea and has served as the Principal Investigator on many clinical trials for both dermatology pharmaceuticals and devices that led to FDA approval. Dr. Ava has published extensively in prestigious medical journals.
