About Ava K.
I am currently an alumni of Marist University and I have worked to receive my degree in Fine Arts with a concentration in Studio Art with a focus on Painting with a 3.99 GPA and an awarding of Summa Cum Laude honors.On campus, I had gotten involved in the art space as a worker within the Arts Building. I also actively submitted to my school\'s publication, the Mosaic. My artwork has been exhibited throughout the Hudson Valley in numerous shows, I have also previously exhibited solo and group shows within the Steelplant Studios. In addition, I served as the President and Re-Founder of the Kappa Pi Chapter at Marist College, which has been dormant for 18 years. I am very excited about the chapter running again, and I plan to facilitate connections with the chapter long after my graduation.I also was a member of my school\'s newspaper, The Circle and had served in my school\'s faith-based community, Campus Ministry. In addition, I do a lot of volunteer work ranging from my high school years to my time now at Marist working at local schools and taking notes on behalf of others within class.I have experience working with a variety of different types of artistic mediums, whether that be traditional art forms, like painting, drawing, ceramics, and 3D modeling, or more modern-day applications, such as InDesign and Photoshop. I also have held an internship position at Arts MidHudson, where I worked to help with donor relations, Mail Merging, and day-to-day tasks. I also actively held three positions as an art help-desk associate, an art tutor, and a gallery worker, where I gained valuable skills in time management, communication, and planning.I cannot wait to continue my journey and to make many more connections along the way!
