ABOUT AVA BISHOP
As a student at the University of Alabama studying both history with a legal concentration and political science, I am focusing on developing both investigative, writing, and reading skills to prepare me for law school. As a first-generation college student I have a passion for both social and economic justice on a global scale, pushing me to pursue international law with other interests in copyright and constitutional law. Through a minor in liberal arts with the prestigious Blount Scholars Program I am being trained in interdisciplinary tools to navigate, examine, critique, and eventually fix the world around me. My on-campus involvements primarily include The Crimson White where I am a contributing writer for the culture desk and The Crimson Historical Review where I contribute to all three boards that are a part of the process to complete a full journal of historical works each semester: review, copy editing, and proofing. In the future I hope to focus on international law, public policy, and legal history through both the history and political science departments here at The Capstone as well as further my interests in fields outside my main courses of study through the Blount Scholars Program.
