ABOUT AVA TESTA
Hi, I\'m Ava! Alongside my academic and leadership experiences, I have been navigating life with hip dysplasia, a congenital condition that has caused chronic pain and significantly impacted my mobility. Over the summer, I underwent major hip reconstructive surgery and have since been in recovery, relearning how to walk through extensive physiotherapy. During my first year, before the surgery, I relied on accessible transportation to attend classes and remain active in campus life while managing the challenges of chronic pain. Despite these obstacles, I remained deeply committed to my academics and leadership responsibilities and being placed on the Dean’s Honour List, while serving in leadership roles across multiple campus and off-campus organizations. As I continue my recovery, I am completing my courses primarily online while remaining actively engaged with campus. I am highly motivated to pursue flexible and meaningful opportunities that allow me to continue learning, contributing, and developing professionally during this period of healing and growth.
