About Ava Strohmeyer

Pursuing a B.S. in Chemistry with a concentration in Pharmacology and a B.A. in Global Health at Duke University, graduating May 2026 with distinction.I have three years of translational research experience studying therapeutic vulnerabilities in metastatic disease progression, and I\'m currently completing an honors thesis investigating LCP1 as a prognostic biomarker and therapeutic target in chondrosarcoma.I also conduct global health research using human-centered design and qualitative analysis to uncover systemic barriers in care coordination and inform improvement strategies.Beyond research, I have experience in healthcare consulting- most recently leading development of a community engagement and health literacy framework for hospital networks serving rural populations across North India. Passionate about pharmacology, health equity, and access, I aim to turn research into actionable, sustainable impact and progress.

   Lead end-to-end operations for a student-run 501 (c)(3) nonprofit serving 120+ children impacted by a parent\'s cancer, overseeing all logistical planning from daily schedules and activity programming to procurement, supplies, and on-site operations. Managing budgets, vendor contracts, safety protocols, and volunteer engagement across two week-long summer camp sessions and year-round programming.
