About Ava Nikac
My name is Ava Nikac, and I am a junior at Marist University majoring in Fashion Merchandising with minors in Business and Global Studies. Through my coursework, I’ve gained hands-on experience in areas such as trend forecasting and digital design, allowing me to combine creativity with strategic thinking. I’m proficient in Microsoft applications as well as Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop, and I enjoy applying these tools to bring ideas to life. I’m currently seeking an internship where I can contribute to a dynamic team, continue building my skills, and gain real-world experience. Ultimately, I hope to grow my career on a marketing team within the fashion industry while making meaningful professional connections along the way.I also had the opportunity to study abroad in Florence, Italy at the Lorenzo de Medici Institute for a semester. This allowed me to expand my global perspective on fashion and culture. This experience strengthened my adaptability and appreciation for international markets while also deepening my understanding of fashion within a global context.
