About Ava Nicols
I am a sophomore at the University of Southern California, majoring in Journalism within the Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism. I am minoring in Performance Science through the Marshall School of Business and serving as a research associate at the USC Annenberg Center for PR.At USC, I serve as the personal assistant to Professor and Director of the Annenberg Center for Public Relations, Fred Cook. I am also a contributing writer for the digital news platform, Annenberg Media, and a Student Ambassador for the USC Annenberg admissions team. As a SoCal native born and raised in Manhattan Beach, California, I love being outdoors and helping others. I am passionate about health, writing, and travel, and hope to find a career that intersects my interests in wellness and communication to impact and teach others.

I am so excited to intern this spring at NJW PR! NJW PR is a boutique agency specializing in luxury hospitality and travel. I will conduct targeted media research, draft narrative-focused content, monitor sentiment through coverage analysis, and help identify trends across client audiences. The hands-on nature of this agency role will further strengthen my ability to support multi-phase storytelling projects that combine my interests in communication and travel, and I could not be more excited!
