Ava Nabatkhoran is a 2L at the University of Pennsylvania Carey Law School passionate about advocacy and litigation. She graduated from Macaulay Honors College at the City University of New York, where she majored in Political Science and minored in Law at John Jay College of Criminal Justice. As a full-merit scholar, she was honored with the Outstanding Capstone Prize for Research for the Common Good for her project on voting rights and received the Petra Shattuck Prize for Distinction in Political Science. At Penn Carey Law, Ava has continued to hone her advocacy skills, winning the 2024 Opening Statement Competition and placing 3rd in the 2025 Englert Cup Mock Trial Team Competition. With diverse legal experiences across various sectors, she is eager to build upon her foundation and pursue a career in litigation.
