About Ava Marquez

I’m a junior from Long Island, New York. I am learning and engaging my education at The Smeal college of Business at The Pennsylvania State University. My fields of study consist of, Marketing, Business law and Finance. I am currently heavily involved in the world’s largest student run philanthropy, Penn State’s THON in a huge effort to end childhood cancer. I was previously on the Opperations committee as a fundraising specialist where I created fundraising for my committee and was the direct liaison to the Fundraising captains on our upcoming events. As a member of the committee we secured and prepared to set up and tear down the entire THON weekend while also working logistics during the weekend. This year I am apart of the Finance Committee and can’t wait to see what’s in store for THON 2026. Additional I am in the, Kappa Alpha Pi Pre-Law fraternity to enhance my legal and networking skills where I serve as the THON Finance & Donor Drive Chair. To Sharpen my skills in my major and interest I recently have joined Penn State American Marketing Association as a Sales Division member. I am currently developing a new “product” in a collaborative team where we will learn how to properly market and sell. I have a strong interest in finance and personal investments, so I attend semi - weekly meeting for the Nittany Market Analysis Association to learn from other peers and educate my self more on financial markets.
