ABOUT AVA LEMKE
I graduated from Barrett, The Honors College at Arizona State University, with a B.A. in Political Science, a minor in Disability Studies, and a certificate in Cross-Sector Leadership. At ASU, I developed my leadership and advocacy skills through the Next Generation Service Corps, Accessibility Coalition, and as a Community Assistant and Residential Experience Coordinator in Barrett Housing. I also served as a Barrett Peer Mentor and was part of the ASU Tillman Scholars 2022–2023 cohort.In 2023, I joined the Board of Directors for the Arizona Center for Disability Law and Mt. Meru Coffee Project. In 2024, I completed Apple’s Public Value Accelerator Fellowship. My team developed MobileHealthConnect, an app connecting people experiencing homelessness with nearby mobile health units. From 2017 to 2019, I founded and led Dancers Against Substance Abuse, Inc, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to raising awareness about addiction and promoting positive alternatives to substance use.I now apply this broad range of leadership and research experience in my role as a Research Analyst at Uline.
