About Ava Hennings
Hi, I\'m a senior at San Diego State University, double-majoring in Sustainability and Political Science. I’m passionate about the intersection of politics, social justice, and environmental sustainability. I am deeply committed to both my academic and extracurricular pursuits and want to make a positive impact on the world.On campus, I am involved in several student groups, including the Political Science Student Organization, Dance Marathon at SDSU, and Gamma Phi Beta. I currently serve as the President for the co-ed community service fraternity Delta Beta Tau, and I previously held a position on my sorority’s extended executive board as the REAL Wellness Chairwoman. These leadership roles have provided me with valuable experience in collaboration, event planning, and fostering community among my peers.In addition to my involvement in student organizations, I work as an SDSU Ambassador, representing the university to prospective students and their families. I also work at the Cheesecake Factory, where I’ve further developed my customer service skills and ability to work effectively in fast-paced environments.I am always seeking opportunities to expand my knowledge and gain hands-on experience. I am interested in exploring how politics and activism can advance sustainability and equity, and I hope to further my understanding of these complex issues through both academic and professional experiences. I look forward to expanding my leadership and advocacy skills through new opportunities
