About Ava Beydoun
Hello! My name is Ava Beydoun, and I’m a senior at UW–Madison, graduating this May with a B.S. in Textiles and Fashion Design. I currently serve as Head of the Fashion Committee at The Vault, UW’s premier fashion and business student organization. In previous semesters, I helped execute our semi-annual student fashion show by leading workshops that offered both conceptual and technical guidance to fellow designers. This year, I’ve stepped into the role of Lead Designer for our bi-annual fashion show, which will be supported by the Virgil Abloh Youth Impact Program. It’s an honor to contribute to this collaboration—Virgil has been a profound source of creative inspiration throughout my development as a designer, and I’m excited to bring my own unconventional ideas to his enduring legacy.In the past, I interned with JINXROOM in Chicago, an independent wholesale and branding agency representing both established and emerging brands. Our primary goal was to help clients such as Volcom, P.J. Salvage, Miss Me, and Stanley expand their presence across the Midwest. By fostering positive communication and anticipating style preferences, I was able to strengthen customer loyalty and support long-term relationships. Over the past two summers, I’ve gained proficiency in daily showroom operations while building valuable connections within the wholesale retail industry.I am currently seeking positions in design, styling, or any related creative fields. Led the organization’s fashion committee in executing a student fashion show of 500 attendees by organizing workshops and supporting fellow designers- Organized over 40 fashion show looks that successfully conveyed our theme through chronological storytelling, ensuring the undivided attention of our audience- Designed merch with a small team where we began with mood boarding and wholesale research, followed up by sketching and mockups, and finished with ordering and pricing- Styled photoshoot for creative Zine aiming to showcase creatives in our student org to promote our mission to potential new members.
