Autumn McDonald has more than two decades of experience working with nonprofits, foundations, and government agencies on strategy, advocacy, and civic innovation. She is Vice President of Community Investment and Partnerships at the East Bay Community Foundation (EBCF) where she oversees EBCF’s strategic grantmaking and regional collaborations, and leads a team of program officers focused on advancing arts and culture, inclusive economies, movement infrastructure, community organizing, and capacity building with a racial equity lens. Most recently, she served as senior fellow & head of New America CA, with New America where her work focused on issues of economic equity, policy influence, community engagement, and narrative change. McDonald’s writing has been published by outlets including The Washington Post, Slate, Stanford Social Innovation Review, Project Syndicate, Pacific Standard, CalMatters, and Britannica Parents.
