ABOUT AUTUMN LADD
In December of 2024, I received my Bachelor of Science in Human Development with a concentration in Higher Education from the University at Albany- graduating Cum Laude. Throughout my undergraduate experience, I dedicated my time outside of the classroom to leadership across campus. While completing my Graduate Studies, I continue to serve a mission of community and student success as I serve in the role of a Residence Hall Director at the University at Albany. Currently, I am a Graduate student, studying in the Masters of Higher Education Program at the University at Albany. As I continue to engage in coursework that is parallel to my hands-on experience, I am working to develop my skills that enrich not only education, but also the student experience for generations to follow. My experience in higher education has provided me with a well-rounded perspective on the many individuals and departments that contribute to institutional excellence. From prospective students to engaged alumni, my work has spanned the full student lifecycle. I’ve had the privilege of serving in multiple roles at the University at Albany, including Residential Assistant, UAlbany Ambassador, Purple and Gold Ambassador, Orientation Leader, First-Year Experience Peer Educator, and Graduate Assistant for both Orientation and Student Activities and the Office of Student Engagement. Currently, I have settled in to my first professional role as a Residential Director on Colonial Quad, where I directly support the success and well-being of residential students.Beyond my campus involvement, I interned with the New York State Education Department during the summer of 2024, working in the Emergency Assistance to Non-Public Schools (EANS) division. There, I focused on fiscal management for non-public schools across the state, which allowed me to bridge my academic focus in Higher Education with my background in Business Administration. The combination of academic and experiential learning has instilled me with a passion for Higher Education and Student Affairs. More importantly, I look to serve a mission of student excellence, diversity, equity, and success as I begin to develop my career.
