The Center for Healthy Masculinity (CHM) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing healthier, more responsible models of masculinity through education, training, and public dialogue. We care deeply about men\'s health with a particular focus on addiction, mental health, and trauma. As a co-founder, I work with the Executive Director, Jordan Smith, to help shape CHM’s vision, strategy, and programming with a focus on addressing how gender socialization impacts men’s mental health, relationships, fatherhood, and engagement in systems such as behavioral health, education, and justice.CHM’s work centers on changing systems and cultural narratives, not just individual behavior, by providing trauma-informed, gender-responsive frameworks that support accountability, connection, and relational competence in men.Areas of focus include:Advancing healthier models of masculinity through education and public engagementTraining professionals and organizations on gender-responsive, trauma-informed approachesAddressing the impact of masculinity norms on relationships, families, and communitiesCreating space for honest, nuanced conversations about men, responsibility, and changeCHM exists to raise standards for how men are supported, challenged, and understood — with the belief that healthier masculinity benefits everyone.

ABOUT DAN GRIFFIN

I’m an author, keynote speaker, and consultant focused on transforming how we understand men, masculinity, and relationships—especially where trauma, shame, and recovery are involved. For more than 20 years, my work has centered on helping men understand how gender conditioning —what I call The Man Rules—shapes behavior, limits emotional expression, and quietly undermines connection. My approach is direct, practical, trauma-informed, and responsibility-centered.For the past 15 years, I’ve led GRE (Griffin Recovery Enterprises), providing consulting, training, and program development for organizations working in behavioral health, criminal justice/treatment courts, and recovery-oriented systems of care throughout the United States and in a few other countries as well. I also design and facilitate experiential retreats for men and couples, including those in long-term recovery.I am the co-founder of the Center for Healthy Masculinity (CHM), a nonprofit advancing healthier models of masculinity through education, training, and public dialogue—with a focus on changing systems, not just individuals. addition, I’m co-founding A Man’s Way (AMW)—a men’s IOP treatment program currently in development—built on gender-responsive, trauma-informed care and designed to meet the real needs of men in recovery. We are taking men\'s treatment to a whole new level. I’m the author of A Man’s Way Through Relationships, A Man’s Way Through the Twelve Steps, and co-author of Helping Men Recover—among the first trauma-informed resources written specifically for men. I’m also the co-author and lead concept developer of four curricula published by Wiley & Sons: Amazing Dads, Healing Men’s Pain, Amazing Moms, and Healing Women’s Pain. For keynotes, training, retreats, or consulting: d•••@dangriffin.com | 42••••••46
