About Austin Rennacker

I learned how to install plumbing in a house at the age of 11. And yes, I promise this is relevant. Growing up, my parents loved to build. They desperately wanted to build a home - but did not want to have to hire contractors to do it. So, as any logical parent would do, they put to use their 11 and 13 year old daughters. I spent my weekends installing plumbing, laying down tile, climbing scaffolding - and growing a passion for building. These days, the plumbing is less pipe and more Python, and siding is layers upon layers of CSS, but the desire to create and build has maintained. I have a background in 0-1 product, assisting leaders in climate, health, and sustainability spaces to determine business goals and define (then create) their vision. I\'ve worked within existing product, where I might parallel the experience more to a kitchen renovation - gut and redo the kitchen, and see the value of the home soar (where the kitchen might be, say, the checkout flow for a SaaS eCommerce experience). As a less loquacious TL;DR: 7+ years in product management experience, Technical Product Manager certified at PMHQ, heavily driven by analytics and pinpointing exactly what change can be made to help the team achieve overarching business goals. And yes, I can also fix your sink.
