About Austin Kelly
Click “SEE MORE” to read why Medical Device Sales is my career of choice! From Medical Student to business & sales professional. WHY IM CHOSING MEDICAL DEVICE SALES: After years of prepartion & 1 yr of medical school, during the pandemic I made the difficult but empowering decision to transition from pursuing clinical practice to a career in medical device sales, a path that perfectly bridges my passion for healthcare and my drive to make a broader impact on patient outcomes. My medical training provided me with a deep understanding of anatomy, physiology, and the critical challenges faced by healthcare providers and patients alike. These insights uniquely position me to understand the needs of clinicians and to effectively communicate the value of innovative medical technologies. In medical device sales, I see the opportunity to fulfill my core mission: improving patient care. By equipping healthcare professionals with cutting-edge tools, I can help enhance their ability to diagnose, treat, and save lives. I find fulfillment in the intersection of healthcare and innovation. What sets me apart is my ability to combine medical expertise with a consultative approach to sales. I understand the pressures and priorities of the clinical environment, enabling me to build trust and establish long-term partnerships. My goal is not just to sell products but to be a reliable resource and advocate for healthcare teams seeking to deliver the best possible outcomes for their patients. MY STORY: With plans to apply to Physcians Assistant school after my exit from medical school, my intrest in cosmetics/dermatology led me to work as a surgical technician for a plastic surgeon, preforming Mohs cosmetic surgery. When the time came to apply, I decided to hold off & instead have taken the past 2 years to field many opportunites while working in fine dining & event production industries. During this time I changed my focus to be firmly fixed on medical device sales, with inspiration from having grown up with a Father who is a 30 year veteran in medical device sales & a twin brother who is a corporate account sales manager for a water treatment engineering company. INTERESTING THINGS ABOUT ME: • Born & raised in Tampa, Florida • In high school I wrestled & played football • Grandfather was a 35yr Air Force Colonel • I have a loving supportive family • I take pride in being in top physical condition. Im an exercise fanatic. It’s who I am. I plan my workouts in the gym, I plan my meals & value my physical health.
