About Austin Sweeney
After graduating from Miami University in May 2020 with a Bachelor of Science in Business, Accounting, I started my career in public accounting as an auditor at BDO in Cincinnati, Ohio. I had the privilege of working two busy seasons, as both an intern and a first year associate at BDO. Throughout my time with the firm, I was part of many engagement teams working on both year-end audits and reviews across a wide variety of industries, with a heavy focus in the restaurant industry. I’ve since moved to Chicago, Illinois and transitioned into a second year role with RSM where I am specializing in real estate clientele. In my first busy season at RSM, I’ve had the privilege of senioring my first engagement, as well as providing staff work on various other audit engagements. I’ve worked on property level and fund level audits, and have experience in both income tax basis and fair value basis reporting. I’m excited to continue this journey in public accounting with RSM and cannot wait to see what the future holds!I am a licensed Certified Public Accountant in the State of Illinois.
