SKILLS
ABOUT AUSTIN FARMER
I’m focused on leading a team that provides knowledgeable support to utilities building and maintaining fiber optic networks. We primarily support applications with aerial outside plant (OSP) cables such as optical ground wire (OPGW) and all dielectric self-supporting (ADSS) cable on power transmission and distribution lines. We also provide support for other fiber optic cables, cable support hardware, and optical connectivity. As an Engineer In-Training (EIT), my ambition is to earn a Professional Engineer (PE) license. I\'m a proud Yellow Jacket having graduated from Georgia Tech with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering in 2013. I invite other professionals to connect with me, especially those in the fiber optics and power utility industries.
