About Austin Cassidy
In 2009, riding home from school, I noticed my mom was crying. She had just come back from a meeting where she learned she’d lost more than 25% of her life savings in the “market.” I didn’t understand how numbers on a screen could cause that much emotional stress.That moment ultimately stuck with me as I grew up and learned more about the \"market\". This pushed me toward a degree in finance, culminating in why I pursued earning the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ designation. I now dedicate my career to helping people navigate complex financial decisions with the clarity and confidence I wish my Mom had back in 2009.I started at Vanguard, spending 3.5 years on the operations and management of mutual funds and ETFs: pricing, distributions, fund operations, and product launches. Later, on Vanguard’s Personal Advice Methodology team, I helped thousands of clients and advisors turn technical financial concepts into clear, actionable guidance.Today, at Beacon Pointe, I oversee financial planning for our San Diego offices. I bring my technical background into highly personalized and advanced planning strategies across taxes, estate structures, insurance options, retirement design, and investment alignment. I’m proud to help people like my Mom move through their financial lives with more confidence, more clarity, and far less stress. It\'s been a real full-circle journey, and I\'m just getting started.
