ABOUT AUSTIN ABAS

Austin is an Audit Partner and Managing Partner of the Winnipeg office. Austin has continuously demonstrated his leadership in KPMG and with his clients, and is the past chair of the Board of Directors for KPMG in Canada. As an Audit Partner, Austin has over 25 years of experience and has been the lead engagement partner and client relationship partner on a number of KPMG Winnipeg’s significant clients including public companies, complex organizations and owner managed private companies (family business). As the lead partner on his clients, his experience includes audits, accounting, initial public offerings (IPO), and due diligence engagements with private and public business corporations, manufacturing corporations, construction corporations, real estate corporations, investment corporations (mutual funds), and other corporations. As a client relationship partner, Austin excels at building teams and bringing the right resources to his clients, to help them excel at executing their business strategy and driving business results. Austin has been involved in a number of significant organizations that have grown dramatically through acquisitions and has assisted these companies through their growth. In his role as the Lead Partner on these companies, Austin has developed outstanding relationships with management, assisting them with issues, providing timely, effective and proactive advice and has brought the necessary resources of our firm to help the companies execute their business strategies.
