About Austin Soe
I’m a Manufacturing Equipment Maintenance Technician at Western Digital. Most days I’m in the machine shop making metal parts for engineering and production teams. I also handle on-site 3D printing, where I make fixtures, components, and other practical parts that support day-to-day operations. I also go into the cleanroom to help troubleshoot and repair production tools with equipment engineers.I earned my B.A. in Business Administration with a minor in Linguistics from UC Irvine, and I studied abroad at Yonsei University in Seoul. These experiences shaped how I work and communicate across different teams and technical backgrounds.Outside of work, I enjoy strategy and community-based hobbies. I’ve coached competitive League of Legends at the collegiate level, and I like bowling, martial arts, and playing Pokémon GO for its social and exploration aspect.
