About Austin Paxton
I’m a structural engineer with a deep passion for programming and automation. I hold both a B.S. and M.S. in Structural Engineering from UC San Diego, where I developed a strong foundation in designing timber, steel, concrete, and aluminum structures using a variety of industry-standard design software. My curiosity for technology led me to learn Python, which sparked my interest in algorithmic trading systems. To advance my skills, I completed a machine learning bootcamp, further expanding my technical toolkit. Currently, I\'m on sabbatical, building algorithmic trading infrastructure with a tech stack that includes Apache Airflow for orchestration, Google BigQuery for data warehousing, and Data Build Tool (dbt) for data transformation.I’m now exploring new opportunities where I can leverage my expertise in engineering, programming, and data-driven problem solving.
