I have worked in the Retail industry for over 15 years, moving from Sales and Management with a direct line to customers and people, into the Merchandising side of the industry. Nordstrom has allowed me to create a career and grow it into what I wanted it to be. Providing multiple new experiences and growth and support to where I am now as an Assistant Buyer.Currently, I am part of the team buying Active Apparel and Accessories for all genders for Nordstrom Rack. As the Assistant Buyer of this team, I track and present item, brand, classification and location performances to assist with business decisions for what we buy. I oversee in-season business, and buy and manage our brand assortment for a top growth category, Golf. I also ensure inventory management is achieved through quantitative buying, seasonality tracking and markdowns, considering the customer first and foremost in all buying decisions. I additionally oversee product selection for marketing purposes and our events on NordstromRack.com and HauteLook.com as well as lead and help identify growth areas/opportunities. Previously, I have managed multiple sales departments, in different classifications and gained a lot of experience with leading and coaching people. I am a true \"people-person\" as the customer, my team, and my personal goals are my key focuses each day.
