ABOUT AUSTIN LEIGH FAIREY

AT THE AGE OF 13, I visited Los Angeles on a family vacation. We did all of the touristy things, including a private tour of the Warner Brothers backlot and a live set visit. I took it all in. The people. The sets. The lights. The props. It was a rush! My parents asked if everything was okay because I am never quiet (still not quiet!). That is the moment I got the production and operations bug. Fast-forward to my LSU days, when I found out CBS would be on campus covering a game. I reached out to the production manager and asked for a tour of the trucks and set. Thirty minutes after being given the green light, I was emailed stating the PA backed out of working the game, and they asked if I was interested in working instead of touring. That was the first day of a five-year career with that team. I wish I knew who quit that day to thank them for launching my operations and production career!(If you\'re reading this…THANK YOU!) WHAT I LOVE about my work is making things happen. Whether it\'s producing branded content across multi-channel platforms, creating live audience events, or working on projects like Inside the NBA, The Match, PGA Championships, or the NBA Playoffs, I thrive. But I also know I don\'t do it alone, which is why I build teams of professionals who are just as passionate about production quality and value as I am. WHAT MAKES ME GREAT at my work is my ability to make decisions and solve problems. I\'m a big-picture thinker who surrounds myself with brilliant minds to produce award-winning projects. SOME CAREER HIGHLIGHTS INCLUDE being a two-time Emmy winner for Outstanding Studio Show as the Associate Producer and Associate Director for work on Playoffs on TNT and Inside the NBA and a nomination for a Digital Innovation Emmy around the efforts with business continuity plans stemming from COVID-19. OUTSIDE OF WORK, you can find me riding my bike, taking a dance class, attending live concerts, watching LSU football games, or at a theme park. And fun fact, I go by my middle name Leigh!
