ABOUT AUSTIN CAMPBELL

Healthcare strategy leader with expertise in innovation, planning, and value-based models. I currently lead strategy at Evergreen Nephrology, a venture / private equity backed, growth-stage company focused on enabling physician success in value-based models for people living with kidney disease. As one of Evergreen\'s earliest hires, I have helped to build the company from initial product-market fit to a scaled national platform. Formerly, I had corporate strategy roles at both DaVita and Optum, applying analytical rigor and creative problem-solving to enterprise-level challenges and opportunities. Strengths that stand out in my work are comfort in structuring ambiguous problems, adaptability and calm under the pressure of evolving priorities, clarity in communication, and building trust while driving results on cross-functional teams. My former life as an academic honed these skills. During my PhD at Harvard, I designed curriculum and led courses for 200+ students while researching patient experience in end-of-life care. My research has been published in top journals, and I received multiple awards for my teaching. Never content to remain in the ivory tower, I held patient-facing roles in hospitals during my graduate studies to understand how people experience the healthcare system firsthand. And I made the leap to business in search of more near-term impact in my work. Specialties: strategy, healthcare, innovation, strategic planning, data analysis, communications, innovation, competitive intelligence, education, research
