About Austin Kantz

I recently graduated where I studied accounting at Penn State University. When I was a freshman in high school, I was tasked to research possible careers. Accounting was a career I researched and would later schedule during my junior year of high school. Immediately accounting felt intuitively right for me as I enjoyed working with the numbers in conjunction with accounting principles and concepts. After high school, I enrolled in Penn State University-Altoona Campus then transferred to Penn State University Park where I am studying accounting at the Smeal College of Business. A career goal of mine is to earn the prestigious CPA certification. The work and discipline required will advance me both professionally and personally. To aid in preparation and satisfy the 150-credit requirement, I will do additional schooling to earn the 150 credits. Outside of the classroom, I am involved with the Penn State Accounting Society where I earned a Distinguished Member Title for the fall of 2023. For the 2024 spring semester, I work part-time as a team assistant at Jersey Mike\'s. The experience thus far has built my collaboration skills with customers and team members. Additionally, it challenges my time management skills and to be more efficient with my schoolwork due to working throughout the week. Finally, my involvement includes the Penn State Body Building Club and Intermural flag football. I currently accepted an internship with Andersen for the summer of 2025. With that being said, I would like to connect and learn more about the accounting profession.
