About Austin Hyer

I am a currently in my fourth year as an undergraduate at Miami University studying Finance with a Business Analytics Minor. As an up and coming business professional, I am looking for an internship within the finance field so that I can gain valuable experience and connections for my future.I am keenly interested in world of Finance, but more specifically the data analysis side of it. Much of this is because of my independent data analysis operation during the summer of 2020. Covid 19 opened up an opportunity in the virtual sports industry that I quickly jumped on. I worked hard to compile thousands of data points, which I would analyze in order to find significant advantages over market makers. After finding a great deal of success, I reached out to many like-minded individuals and built a team of 30+ members to help the operation. By the end of the summer, I had gotten more than a return on my investment, and gained valuable experience in both data analytics and leadership.More recently, I gained experience in the financial field during my internship at Lakeside Bank, where I worked as a credit intern. My main responsibility was to go through customer financials to gauge their levels of risk to the bank.
