About Austin Fitzgerald
Austin joined KBR out of The University of Texas and was a core member of the Process team for 7 years before moving on to the Engineering Management group for the next 3 years of his career. Austin has extensive experience developing and executing both reimbursable and lump sum EPC projects in sectors such as Ammonia, Offshore Oil & Gas, Refining, Power, and Ethylene. During this time, he has held roles in the office on both Greenfield and Brownfield projects supporting plant design, proposal development, interface management, and project engineering. Additionally, Austin has experience in the field supporting construction and assisting with project management, exposing him to all aspects of projects throughout his career. From November 2020, Austin served as the Project Definition Department Manager at KBR, leading a group of 120+ technical professionals who work in the fields of process, safety, furnaces, metallurgy, and environmental engineering. In 2024 Austin transitioned to the role of Senior Project Manager focusing on leading major capital projects in the energy sector.
