I have been questioning the status quo and working to make positive changes in my community since I was in elementary school. From working with the City of Houston to improve safety in my neighborhood to speaking to the Houston Independent School District Board of Education and convincing them to make a change in styrene cafeteria trays, I am a person of action. I have realized that sometimes problems must be confronted repeatedly until a solution is reached and that ethics and justice must drive my decisions. I thrive in challenging situations that stimulate my creative problem solving abilities.I strive for excellence in all my endeavors and work to bring diverse groups of people together for a common cause. I pride myself on being able to see multiple sides of an issue and am able to empathize with each individual.
