As a Talent Acquisition Specialist, all areas of recruitment are touched upon, from writing position descriptions to candidate screening and interviewing, to the offer process and beyond! Innovative ideas along with knowledge of HR practices are executed to locate talent and onboard them into the team. Typical duties are as follows-Develop creative recruitment strategies using a variety of means to source and recruit candidates from various recruiting platforms, including fluent understanding of Boolean search logic-Collaborated with hiring managers to understand required skills and competencies of employee roles, recommending best practices, reviewing policies and process, resulting in continuous improvement to recruitment practices-Recruiting a wide range of professionals such as Project Manager, Software Engineer, Logistician, System Engineer, System Administrator, Contract Administrator, and Business Analyst, etc-Source and Interview candidates within the framework of the position specification. Screen, interview and prepare an ideal candidate slate within an appropriate and consistent timeline-Utilizing various online job boards to advertise career opportunities and for candidate sourcing -Coordinated scheduling phone and/or in-person interviews for the TA Director and hiring managers -Conducting candidate phone screens, documenting detailed notes in our Applicant Tracking System (ATS), Paylocity -Maintaining contact with candidates after the interview and throughout the hiring process to ensure they have a positive experience -Communicating the arrival of new hires and assisting with the onboarding process -Researching and identifying new recruiting resources -Developing partnerships with veteran, diversity, and other niche organizations -Attending in-person and virtual job fairs and networking events (these may take place after hours)-Using creative thinking to develop new and innovative ways to attract talent to ASEC
