Austen is currently in the Leadership Development Program at ION, working in the financial technology industry. He graduated from Northwestern University with majors in economics and statistics, and is based in Chicago, Illinois.During his three rotations at ION, Austen has gained experience in product strategy, product management, and business implementations. He had the opportunity to work for several months in London, UK, and has acquired a variety of experience and skills while working in a rapid-paced environment on market-leading trading software and technologies.In the past, Austen has worked as a data analyst at Improveit! Home Remodeling and a digital marketing consulting associate at Arcalea, improving processes and providing key statistical insights to drive future marketing and sales. Before those experiences, Austen worked as a research assistant, waiter, caddie, and bookseller, improving his interpersonal skills while also furthering his interests as an avid golfer, reader, and food-lover.Prior to starting his career, Austen was a member of the Northwestern Sports Analytics Group, Northwester Club Golf team, Sigma Chi Omega, National Honor Society, Northwestern Dance Marathon, and was a National Merit Scholarship recipient. He graduated high school from St. Charles Preparatory School in Columbus, Ohio, and volunteers at Mid-Ohio Food Bank and the Chicago Center for the Homeless. His hobbies include playing/watching sports, sports analytics, music, reading, and traveling.
